I miss those days
Tried tidying up my room on Sun. My room is still in W.I.P stage (Work-In-Progress). Think it will take me a while to tidy up cos Missy Ashlee has so so so MANY things in her room. =p
Only managed to tidy up part of my table, two shelves and one drawer. Albert and Alice, please be patient, ok? I'm trying my best liao.
Went through the old letters and greeting cards in my drawer ...
Suddenly, I miss those days at school...
Back then,
I just had to attend tutorials and lectures.
I just had to try to pay attention in class.
I just had to do tutorials and hand in assignments on time.
I just had to study hard and do my best for the examinations.
I didn’t have to worry about wat to say and wat not to say.
I didn’t have to worry about offending anyone (cos I wasn’t a bitchy person then).
I could meet my friends for lunch/movies/shopping any day of the week, no ‘advance booking’ required.
Back then,
We didn't have mobile phones. We only had pagers.
We could not receive sms.
We could only receive season greetings and birthday cards by post.
We could only receive hand-written blessings and well-wishes. Some of them sent just to say HI and to cheer me up. So sweet, hor?
Back then …
I would think that a nice birthday gift would be a soft toy from Forever Friends. A soft toy from Harrods would be perfect.
Back then …
A walkman would be good enough for me. A discman would be a bonus.
Back then, life was much simpler.

I was a happier person.
I was a happier person studying till the wee hours of the morning and meeting deadlines for projects than working eight hours a day and meeting ridiculous deadlines set by the management.
