Missy Ashlee's wish for the new year

Last nite, we went to Wing’s place for New Year’s celebration. We had lots of food and wine!!! I love dessert wine now ... hmmm

The guys were comical, well-read and well-informed – they knew everything from populations of the various countries to their GNP/GDP and even the percentage/amount of money the government spent on defence technology each year. They also gave me a revision on Return on Investment (ROI) … We also talked about the different cultures between Asian countries. It was only last nite that I learnt that Korea was initially spelt with a C – Corea.

We had our fair share of bimbo talks. We talked about the pretty / not-so-pretty / good-looking / not-so-good-looking / most hated local actresses/actors and the star awards. we also bitched about the people we knew from schools. Guys can bitch as well as gals, if not better. Suddenly, I tot of Hui … opps =p

Then came the ‘highlights’ of the evening – the guys went into Army Daze mode … again! =p They talked about how they suffered during army and how stressful it was then … I’m so thankful that I didn’t have to go through that. Apparently Wing loves to watch war documentaries. He probably watched more war documentaries than the number of movies I have watched so far … According to him, the movie, Saving Private Ryan, was a good depict of a real war. Their drills were as realistic. Couldn’t quite remember the show except that there were a lot of blood and gross scenes and … I cried ALOT. =p War is scary. I am glad that I was born much later and I didn’t have to go through the Japanese Occupation of Singapore.

We had such a wonderful time that we didn’t know it was already 3.30am when we finally left for home. Gosh, we were so talkative, we chatted for close to 7 hours!!!

Missy Ashlee’s wish for the new year … … … World Peace

And I mean it.
