Shopping for a New Name - Part II

Albert went with me to the famous expert, 游龙子. Mr You asked for my eight characters and said that I have the five elements - 金，木，水，火，土, not lacking in any. He also said that my 薇 is not good for me, I will have poor health, short life span, etc, it's really bad. I can't keep my 薇 or replace it with another wei. Sigh, I expected this. Erm, why didn't Albert read the book sooner?

When on our way home, I could sense that Albert felt guilty. But I think Albert is great, he took time off from work. He kept saying 'Sorry lah, Pa gave you the wrong name. Anyway, you are doing ok in your current job. At least, you have been promoted twice in your present job. You have been working in this company for 7 years? One has to be realistic, it's all about money. If you are doing ok, just stay.'

SIgh, those are the 'typical lines' a father would say to his daughter. He was trying to 'redeem' himself. Well, I dun blame him at all. I'm not career-minded. Just that I'm not very happy with my current job, though it pays me quite well. =p I would like to try something different. Maybe it's the 7-year itch. I dunno.

Anyway, Mr You gave me 30 names to choose from. He said I should change my i/c to legalise the change and to 'announce' to the whole world. Only then will I be able to feel the effect of the new name. Haha, it's so different from the other expert.

Well, I'm letting Albert choose, so that he can rectify his 'mistake', right the wrongs. I'm giving him three days. =p
