I am a dishwasher

Big boss told my colleague, M, that our job is akin to that of dishwashers in a restaurant when M gave him feedback that we are 'over-stretched'.
.
Big boss : Your job is simple and routined. Just like that of a dishwasher in a restaurant. You are paid to wash. You have to finish washing all the dishes, no matter what. You are not the most important person in the restaurant. The most important people are the ones standing in front of the door, getting customers, business. You are not as important as the chef. If he makes a mistake, he gets scolded. He starts anew the next day, he gets compliments again if the customers like his cooking. But, if you make mistakes in this routined job, you are punished and blamed. What to do? You need the paycheck.
.
M was shocked to hear that from him. Big boss is fully aware of the situation and he knows we are over-stretching ourselves. I dun blame him if he doesn't fight for us. But he doesn't have to rub salt in our wounds.
.
I'm looking forward to the day that he walks into his 'little wonderful restaurant' to find that none of his dishwashers turn up for work. That will be the day.

I hate working for boss who don't know how to motivate his staff...but this one really, really sucks: he demotivates. plus you learn nothing good from such a boss...
