Sam-Soon fringe?

My colleague, LH, asked me today ...

LH : How long have you been with the company? 10 years ... rite?
M.a : Erm, not yet ... Do I look like I have been here for 10 years?

LH : No lah, you look so young. *laughter*
M.a : Why you ask leh?
LH : No lah ... Nothing lah. *laughter*

Funny meh?!?! This is not the first time someone said I have been with the company for 10 years. =( A client of mine (a middle-aged woman) said that to me just a few weeks ago.

Sigh, I'm not angry, I don't feel offended ... really. I don't think I look old. Just don't understand why she had to laugh and not tell me anything after that.

Then again ... if she had said I joined the company for only a few years, I will feel offended. I would start to wonder if I look like a greenhorn, i.e., inexperienced.

Sigh ... maybe this is one of those 'questions' that one should never ask ... or maybe it's just me. Over-sensitive and hard to please. =p

I'm still curious. What was she laughing at? Ahhh ... I know ... maybe she was only laughing at my Sam-Soon fringe.
