小手拉大手

Grandpa had dementia. We couldn't really communicate to him since 2002. I can't remember exactly how he was like as a grandpa. As I was stoning at his wake yesterday, I remember that he loved to eat alot of rice. He loved to eat cantonese-style sushi - he would wrap rice and a piece of meat with fresh lettuce. I also remember that he and grandma lived in a one-room rental flat in Telok Blangah. The flat was small, but they were happy. I used to visit them during lunch as my workplace was nearby. Grandma would cook my favourite dishes. Grandpa, being the quieter grandparent, would look on while I ate my lunch.

Grandpa was cremated today.

I hope he meets her soon ... so that they can make up for the lost time and be happy ... like the lyrics of Fish Leong's song
